Located in historic Fort Smith, Arkansas, the national museum honors the service and history of the U.S. Marshals Service and features architectural cantilevered roofs that looks like a star from an aerial view. Exhibits and gallery spaces will feature the latest in digital interaction technology as well as rare historical artifacts, documents and showcasing of movies and videos that tell the stories of the 230+ year history of the U.S. Marshals. The 20,000 SF gallery spaces, presented in three main galleries, will highlight pivitol times in our national history.
Built along the Arkansas River, the 51,025 SF state-of-the-art museum includes a store featuring books, gifts and keepsakes. Meeting spaces and classrooms are planned to be available for school and community use. The museum's café will offer Fort Smith’s first riverfront dining experience.
